Honest Takes:

[00:34] – The Questions People Ask About The Stock Market.

  • Folks watch the news and proceed to freak out about their investments. However, they’re not necessarily invested in what’s being talked about on the news. As an example, we tend to talk about the S&P 500, but the S&P 500 is comprised of only five hundred U.S. companies. There are all sorts of other global companies, markets, and assets that make up the global economy. Depending on your allocation between stocks, bonds, real estate, and any number of small, mid, and large-cap stocks, your portfolio might be in good shape. Our job as an investment coach is to help you diversify your investments to protect yourself against market losses. We also help you to prepare for inevitable market corrections.

[2:40] – Are You Invested Long-Term?

  • Don’t consume yourself with what the market did today, this month, or even this year. Investing isn’t timing the market; it’s time in the market. Our goal is to make long-term investment decisions, and if you look at the big picture, we’ve been riding high since the end of the 2008 recession. The recent volatility is but a blip amidst several years of stock market growth. A market correction can certainly damage your portfolio, but don’t let what’s happening today affect your long-term strategy.

[9:09] – Buy Now.

  • Buy low and sell high, right? Now is the time to buy. Think of these corrections as a blue light special. It’s difficult to get in when the market is soaring at all-time highs. Buy the dips as the stock market drops, and you’ll be surprised by how your portfolio performs over the next thirty years.
