Honest Takes:

In celebrating Father’s Day this past weekend, we’re considering advice from dad. Brian himself is a father and shares some of the advice his dad had passed along to him.

One of the biggest takeaways Brian got from his father was to educate yourself and ask big questions. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is! So, it’s important to ask questions, especially before a big decision like taking a new job, buying a house, or retiring.

Maybe you had financial advice passed down or maybe you learned by watching mistakes. What are some of the biggest mistakes people make financially?

Do you have a plan in place that considers your taxes and expenses? What does your estate plan consist of? Instead of merely looking at your investments when you meet, create a financial plan. Then, make sure to update it as needed.

Hear all of the fatherly wisdom by listening to the entire episode or pick and choose with the timestamps below.
